Wowzers, this Scheepjes CAL 2014 is already crazy popular and we are just getting started! :)
For all the new people: you can join in on the fun by either 1. following this blog or 2. joining our Facebook group. The group is VERY active and has almost 4,000 members in it, so it’s the perfect place to get help if you’re ever stuck on a pattern. For blog buttons, banners and other info you can also read the original blog post where I announce this CAL.

I love this! I am still waiting for my yarn but I was wondering, if I did 3 plain squares and 3 of the mixed colour squares would it work later on down the line when I maybe need to use the same yarn colours for different mixed squares? Thanks :)

I am so excited about this. I found this CAL only this morning and have been to my local yarn store and bought my cotton. Ok I have a question – in the english version there are two sets of patterns that both say make 6 each. Does that mean I will have 12 of these blocks for week 1? Or have I confused myself?!

You have, because the PDF says 6 in total :) If you read the whole PDF, it also says that page 4 is for printing.

Dank je wel ! Kun je patrooontjes ook in diagrammen uitwerken? Is voor mij,als MS patiënt, veel makkelijker te begrijpen.

Jammer dat er niet eerder was aangegeven dat er geen diagram komt en ook geen foto’s van het rpoces. Was ik namelijk niet aan begonnne. Ik baal hier enorm van!

Will we need to make 6 blockers of each pattern each week. Can I make less and have a smaller blanket, I have only ever done one CAL before and it was a block a week and I assumed and probably shouldn’t have, that this would be the same and so I joined on this premise, but I don’t think I will manage to get six done in a week and so maybe I should bow out gracefully now?

Yes, 6 squares in total each week. But don’t worry if you can’t keep up; the patterns will be online indefinitely :)

I have made the centre ring/round 1 ok (I think) but I am stuck on the “ch 4, skip 1 stitch DC…” of Round 2 (I am a newbie!). Will see if I can google what to do but and clarification gratefully accepted!!

Ik heb er echt zin in. Helemaal nu ik een pakket katoen heb gewonnen bij mijn Wolwinkel….
Moet je de vierkanten percé blocken? Komt dit niet goed als je de deken in elkaar zet?

Wat ontzettend leuk! Ik zag de aankondiging pas vandaag, fietste naar de lokale handwerkwinkel en kon meteen (nou ja, na een moeilijke afweging want beide kleurcombinaties zijn prachtig) een pakket aanschaffen. Heb niet eerder met een CAL meegedaan, dus ben heel benieuwd naar de voortgang (ook die van mezelf…).

In het patroon wordt voor het aanhechten van een nieuwe draad verwezen naar de PDF met tips maar daar zie ik het niet in staan, wil je dat nog uitleggen?

Dank je wel voor dit geweldige patroon. De eerste foto vond ik licht intimiderend :-) maar het is me gelukt. Ik vind het heel leuk dat je je hier zo voor inzet.

Hoi Marinka, super deze cal. Ik moest naar de fb pagina om mn patroon te downloaden omdat onze comp iets van acrobat niet snapt. Ik was eigenlijk wel geschokt door het geklaag op deze fb groep. Ik hoop dat je je dat niet teveel aantrekt. Het initiatief is super, de patroonbeschrijving helder. Ik heb het patroon gevolgd en mn eerste blok is al af. Zodra je de logica hebt, is t appeltje eitje. Wat ik me afvroeg. Ik haak expres met 3,5 naald, waardoor mn blokken 22 cm zijn. Ik krijg nu ook maar twee blokken uit n bol. Als t n 1 persoons deken wordt, ga ik uit dat hij 6 bij 10 blokken wordt, maar is t n probleem als ik 5 bij 10 doen, of komt er nog een bepaald patroon in de deken wat dan niet te doen is met 55 blokken? De breedte vd deken blijft dan hetzelfde. En op deze manier hoef ik maar 5 extra bollen te gebruiken ipv 10.
In ieder geval bedankt voor deze Cal. Ik haak ijverig mee.

So, as a beginner, I have a problem/question — I cannot find a 3mm hook. What hook would you suggest as an alternative? Or is it better to go ahead and work up a square with a couple different sizes to see which looks best?

Wat geweldig dat je dit opzet. Jammer van al het gezeur, maar dat schijnt er helaas bij te horen. We gaan er maar vanuit dat de meesten alles waarderen. Ik heb zondag lekker iets te doen, laat het maar regen en waaien, mij zul je niet horen. En aan het eind van het jaar heb ik weer iets geweldigs gemaakt. Nogmaals mijn dank.

Is het alweer vrijdag??? Ik heb ze al klaar, erg he….. Nu weer een week wachten hahaha. Heerlijk! Zou het dan eindelijk lukken? Een deken AFmaken….en als het dan idd nog voor 2015 is, dan heb ik mijn doel gehaald, ook al is het op een andere manier. Leukere en vooral gezelligere manier trouwens :D
Ik vind het top! Dank je wel voor alle moeite en tijd, die je er in hebt gestoken en nog doet!

Ik ben nu met de 4e toer bezig, maar ik heb het idee dat in de 3e regel van de 4e toer een fout staat.
Volgens mij staat dit “1st, 1st in de 1l-ruimte,” er teveel in.
Wil je laten weten of het klopt?

Hoi corine. Wat er staat klopt gewoon. Je hebt je 1e gaatje gemaakt (1 losse), dan doe je een stokje in het 1e gat van toer 3, een stokje op het stokje tussen de 2 gaatjes van toer 3 en weer een stokje op t 2e gat van toer 3. Vervolgens maak je je 2e gaatje van toer 4. Zo lopen de gaatje schuin weg.

Dank je Suuuuuz. Ik ben er achter wat ik fout doe, ik heb de toeren verkeerd geteld. Onbewust heb ik de magic ring als 1e toer geteld. Ik moest dus de 3e toer haken en niet de 4e, geen wonder dat het niet klopte ;-)

Pffff niet te geloven!!!! Na de haakbijbel vandaag gekocht te hebben, 300 haaktechnieken erbij, gisteren via een diagram wéér opnieuw geprobeerd…..lukt het vandaag!!!! Nu nog netjes haken en kleurtjes uitzoeken!
Ben eigenwijs wil mijn “eigen bij elkaar gezochte kleurtjes”
Stiekem wel trots dat het mij, als echte beginneling, nu lukt, en ik vind he nu leuk!!! :)
Marinke, het maakt toch niet uit met welke kleur je een patroontje haakt? Als er maar drie uit één bolletje gaan?
