Hey everyone! :)
Since last year’s wish list worked out so well, I though I’d carry on the tradition and start this year with a new, fresh wish list!
This year’s list is a little more abstract than last year’s. Last year I tried to cram as much creative time into my life as possible, with the result of me having to take almost the entire month of December off to recharge. That’s not going to happen to me again this year :) I want to focus more on the internal, on myself, and my peace of mind.
Here’s my list!
1. Make More Music
I took my flute lessons back up last year, and it has been amazing so far! I’m improving every week, and I LOVE playing again. Besides flute I also play the guitar (and a bunch of other instruments), and for this year my goal is to just play more. Play more flute, play more guitar, make more music. Next to being creative it is my biggest outlet, and I want to enjoy it for as long as I can!
2. Go Outside More
I took the Rewild Your Life 30 Day Challenge last year, and I have fallen in love with forest bathing. I spend a lot of my time indoors, behind my computer or on the sofa crocheting, and that needs to change. I’m a total couch potato now, and my goal is to become a professional forest bather by the end of 2014 ;) This goal is also meant to get healthier, and possibly a little fitter. I’m not raising the bar too high on this one; any progress is good progress!
3. Explore Colour
I know I work with colour a lot already, but this year I want to challenge myself to use different colour combinations, to get out of my colour comfort zone and into new territory! My main source of inspiration is Kaffe Fassett. I found this book last year, and it is such a pleasure to read! I’m learning a lot from Kaffe already and I hope to expand that knowledge :)
I know there’s not a lot of creative/crochet related things on my list, but do not worry! 2014 will still see a lot of new pattern releases (yay!) and other groovy stuff.

Your flute is positively beautiful. Have u crocheted to flute zen music yet? Incite me? What is forest bathing? And thanks for the book recommendation. Gotta get it now!!! I dream in color and u crochet in it. Happy Dutch new year. Shall we have a holland reunion next year. I luv the nederlander people.

Good luck with you’re list, I’m hoping to be well enough to do more music this year, play my guitar and mandolin more often. Enjoy the year.

It is a good idea to get out of doors more often! That could easily work well w/ more color in your life! Nature has so much to offer along w/ a brisk walk a few times a week will be good for the spirit as well as clearing the mind!
