instagram granny swap challenge

We are currently in week number 13 – meaning our granny tally is up to 65!

Welcome to the first ever Instagram grannysquare swap challenge!

Wait, what is Instagram you say? Well. It’s a fast, beautiful and fun way to share your life with friends through a series of pictures. It’s an app that runs on your iPhone, and it’s free!

The rules of the challenge: crochet at least 5 granny squares each week, until you have about 180. (maybe that number will change, but we’ll see about that when we get close to that number)
The squares are supposed to be about 4″/10 cms; with most worsted weight yarns that comes to 4 rounds. Easy no? :)
If you want to, you can post your weekly squares to IG, using the hashtag #IGrannysquareswap, so it makes it easier for everyone to find them.
When we get close to the desired number of squares, we will start swapping them with all participants, so we all end up with a unique afghan! :)
