simply amazing

Hey everyone!

Wow, this week has been amazing so far, and it’s not even over yet!

This Sunday I heard that my groovy-ghan (the one I asked you all to vote for) came in second in the competition for the Freubelaward 2012. I want to thank you all for voting for me; this means a lot! :) I won a bunch of goodies, and there will be a giveaway later to celebrate, hurray!

The groovy-ghan has been getting more press this week; Simply Crochet featured the pattern on their blog! The new Simply Crochet magazine comes from the makers of the also very fabulous Mollie Makes. If you haven’t read the magazine yet I highly recommend it, and the first issue is perfect for beginners! :)

And finally; I’m currently writing new crochet tutorials for Craftuts+! My first tutorial for them, the Crochet Mandala, is now online. I had so much fun creating this mandala, and I still love it every time I see it :) This tutorial has 15 steps with a clear description and detailed pictures of how to make the stitches, how to bind off and how to join a new color. You can make this in any color you want; the sky is the limit! :)

In the future there will be more tutorials for Crafttuts+; when they’re online I’ll post a link to them here, so you don’t miss out :)

But don’t worry; I will still be posting free tutorials right here on the blog. And did I mention there’s another CAL coming up soon? It has something to do with overlay mandala’s… ;)
